Tesco Iphone SIM

Hi all

Does anyone know if I can get a Tesco SIM on their iPhone tarriff and use it in an O2 iPhone without getting it unlocked? Since Tesco Mobile use the O2 network, I was hoping it would but not sure.

This is not possible! I work in a Tesco Phone Shop and have lots of similar enquiries! You can't take the iPhone sims seperatley to the iPhone and Tesco's standard sim only plans do not work in an iPhone.

This is incorrect, but I was also given the same incorrect information by other Tesco employees before trying it out for myself. Tesco Mobile 3G SIMs do work in an iPhone. However, you just won't get the 12 months free Wifi & Data browsing, and you will be charged £4 per MB of data. You can buy an Unlimited Browsing Pass for £2 a week, although unless you really need to be on Tesco Mobile, you may be better off buying a £15 iPhone O2 SIM which will give you the 12 months free browsing.
