    Good Morning OS world!

    Morning Redruby!

Gorgeous day up here. Back/side sore but determined to get into the garden today, we'll see..........

Boys are bickering, may choke one soon. DS2 is off to footie at ten, so that may save his life or my sanity;)

Need to try and get back on top of the housework, I did an online shop last night, but have no milk in, I went to the co op after school and picked milk up but seem to have come home without it. Cooked breakfasts today again, rolls and quorn sausages.

Have a fabulous holiday, Candygirl, hope it all goes well with Mr Meerkat.

Hugs to all in need, Diva you are consipcuous by your absence, hope you are OK, love.

    Hi Guys,
Have been reading and thinking of you all - especially Jayward xx

We too are in the throes of exam angst! I have DD taking AS/ A2 and DS2 taking GCSE's. DD does not seem too bothered despite sending me a text yesterday saying "I failed". This has not stopped her planning a fun filled (and probably alcohol induced) weekend despite me reminding her that she has three exams next week. I have resorted to bribery with DS2 and have brought him a new game which I only allow him to have for an hour after he has done 2 hours revision in the dining room where I can see him. Im not sure its working but Im past caring as this is my fifth year (without a break) of exams and I have at least another two (without DS3 taking A levels) Hey ho! I send all those parents coping with exams supportive hugs as i reckon its as tough on us as them.

Well OS has been notable because of it's absence. I have lost the will but keep on reading in the hope it will return when things have settled down. Im finding it hard to even put the washing in the machine at the moment. My freezer is running down so will have to look at sorting that when I have been paid. There wont be many more pay days for me as I have now been officially "terminated" so no more midwifing for me. Very sad:(

Anyway I have to go and get dressed as Tes*0 delivery due and dont want to frighten the delivery man. Im hoping to go to garden centre later to get some plants for pots. Hugs xx
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

I've never seen this thread before so I thought I would come in and say hi :D

Got home from work yesterday and weather was lovely so I got out and cut the grass. Need to get out there this morning and do some weeding and the edges the mower can't get to.

BBQ for tea... Having lots of things from the freezer - chicken pieces, belly pork etc. and some store cupboard ingredients like savory rice. Tomorrow having another bbq for lunch, doing spatchcocked whole chicken in pittas with salad and leftover rice etc from tonight.

Hope everyone has a great weekend and enjoys the sunshine :D

    Morning All

Not managed to get on here for a few days, don't know what I do with myself.

Hope all those with children going through exams make it! I found alcohol and bribery worked well!!

Taplady - I think Lovelty is a great word and I am going to use it from now on.

JackieG - just watch yourself in the garden and don't overdo it.

JC - Good luck to OH, what a warm day for him to start!!

Weather fabby here, been to Asda already and also to farming shop to get the chickens a new water feeded, I broke theirs the other day!!

Had chap from wood preservation company round yesterday to look at the woodworm. The Home report I had done when I put the house on the market showed woodworm in the loft. I was expecting a huge estimate, but he said it should be about £300 so I am fairly happy with that.

Going to pressure wash the deck in a mo, once 4th load of washing has been hung out so that should keep me busy (and probably sunburnt!).

Thoughts are with those who need special wishes, enjoy your Saturdays!

    Hi Peeps

absolutely baking here today, the first two loads of washing are dried and put away and the last load has just been hung out on the line.

Houndies were walked very early and it was already too hot for little oldie, he had to lie down four times on the way home to catch his breath. He`s fine now that he`s cooled off bless him.

Marj drank about 20 litres of water last night from the hosepipe
she is such a mad crazy water obsessed houndie, she was absolutely soaking and in the end i had to lock her inside so that i could water the plants.

I`ve planted lots and lots of flowers so i`m hoping for a lovely mix of veg and flowers this year, hope i`ve room for the next lot which should be delivered later this week, i`ve some chard and beet seeds to sow later today when its cooled off a bit, i`ve been outside since six thirty this morning and i`ve burnt myself out a bit. An hour on the sofa is called for as its lovely and cool inside and then i can tackle the kitchen. HM pizza for tea tonight, the bases are made and cooling in the kitchen so not much else to do to them.

    Have lovely sunny days everyone.

Planning on starting the GC again soon :p
