    8 1/4 pounders
    4 Chinese marinaded beef steaks
    10 minced lamb kebabs
    10 coated spare ribs
    8 lemon chicken legs
    8 Chinese chicken thighs
    10 thick lincolnshire sausages
    All for £12 :D

Ah not much of a bargain for you if you dont live near tho ;)

Wow that is FAB!!! I wish we had a butcher that would do such a bargain, all the ones round here are dead dear!

Tesco's had some good barbecue stuff in yesterday. I don't have a garden so we don't do barbies, but I did buy a pack of 6 lamb meatball kebabs for £1, and noticed there was a large range of barbie stuff all for £1 and £2 - burgers, kebabs etc etc.

no chamce of my bbq here in Highlands of Scotland as its raining!! (what a surprise)

Yesterday it was lovely and the forecast was for more of the same with increased temperatures...... oh really!!

I think I'll buy a very waterproof gazebo and leave that up for the summer, then we can bbq whatever the weather.

    Is the venison???

One other thing that people can do to reduce the cost is to make your own stuff, rather than buy it pre-prepared. You can make some fantastic kebabs by ,arinating some chicken in butter and garlic, a little lemon juice a some tarragon, then use it to make kebabs, with peppers, onions and mushrooms. A nice inexpensive item that doesn't take a lot of time to put together.

Its the cleaning of the BBQ i hate the most. Hence why we dont hae that man, lol.

If you wrap the grille section in foil it helps to keep it clean. Then to clean it, soak in a solution of warm water and biological washing powder/ solution and the burnt on stuff should come off easily (works a treat on oven shelves as well.) You can use a scrumpled up bit of foil to scrub it clean, that's quite effective too.

(Have noticed the men like doing the cooking but aren't nearly so keen on cleaning them afterwards!) ;)
    Hope is not a strategy.
