are gas or coal bbq's better? I need to buy one but don't want to spend a lot?
I'd go for gas. There's one in asda for £30 at the moment- but of course you then have to factor in a gas bottle.
There's no difference in taste, but the control and speed makes gas much easier.Only dead fish go with the flow...0 -

They dont smell too good, and they feel ridiculously greasy.
Personnaly i'd rather pay a little more and have a better quality sausage that tastes great.
Fair enough .. I didnt buy them , just remember seeing them and thinking its a bit cheap .. That explains why their cheap though.0 -

I prefer gas. I would say that if you are serious about BBQ invest in a good one. I bought a Charbroil (USA) 12 years ago, it's still going strong and being aluminum does not rust. I use it all year round, often doing chops or steaks on it in the winter. One click and you are up and way. Control the heat, for perfect constant cooking. Not all or nothing as you get with charcoal.
Get a smoker box and add some extra smoke in there......
Seems to work for me....NO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0
