I have been faking on my legs for a long time (not over winter though!) so decided to give this a go. Wow, it is terrific. What a find. It has got a tint in the mousse so it is dead easy to see where it is going. I have a lovely result. I have only used in on my legs as I do tan naturally elsewhere although I am careful in using a high SPF.
I applied in the morning after my shower and did not shower again until the next morning. I did find that the tint has rubbed off a bit on my bed linen so the next time I use it I will shower again before bed.0 -
I have tried fake tans over the years and also more recently the 'holiday sun' gradual tans and have to say even if they look good when first applicated, if you dont keep topping it up, it seems to go streaky. I also know someone who spray tans and again after a few days you can see subtle streakiness appearing on her legs.
I think they are fine for an occasion but too much effort for everyday. Then again maybe I am doing it wrong!0 -
I have just started using Dove Summer Glow with SP15 facial tan, I have to say it works fine for me, I hate wearing make-up in the summer but can't 'go naked', this way I have a nice colour that looks so natural I don't need make-up. I have also bought the Body Tan in 'Fair/Medium, will use that when the weather picks up again.Easy to use, no smell covers well and defintely not orange! £5. 99 and £4. 99 respectively from Boots. You live..You learn.:)0

My MIL uses this fine and she is not orange at all and looks well but on me it makes me look orange
Think they react differently and unfortunatley for my pocket its trial and error

I have been using Lancome Flash Bronzer milk for years now. Went to buy some more today only to find that it has been discontinued and they now have replaced it with a cream or a mousse. Had anyone tried the mousse??0

Hello!
Im naturally very pale skinned too and couldnt be without my fake tan! I usually use a combination of St Tropez mousse and Xen-Tan but for the times when I cant be bothered with the whole shebang I use the St Tropez Everyday and think its fab, my mum and sister use it too. A friend uses Johnsons Holiday Skin and it looks great on her but it looks yellowy toned on me, so its probs just a case of trial and error to see what one suits you best!
I have used the specific face one before but its such a tiny tube it would cost a fortune I think if you were using it regularly. I just whack the body one on my face and no problems with it so far, though obviously everyones skin is different and if you have problem/particularly sensitive skin that might not be an option.
Happy tanning! xDF Reward Pot £16/£110

I recently used the Lancome flash bronzer mousse, lovely product did notice it had some glitter through it which I'm not normally too fond of, but was quite nice. I only managed to get 4 full body applications out if, and thats was at a push towards the end! Usually for this price I get about 6 full body applications.:j0 -
Havent read the whole thread but Famous Daves self tan is brilliant if you dont want to have anything too dark. Its very subtle.:smileyhea0

Im pretty pale too. Esp my legs, no matter what I use they always stay white - so I hardly ever get my legs out as a result lol.
Ill admit I do get the odd 6 mins on the sun shower every 1-2 weeks, not that Im recommending that of course!
I use the infrared as its good for dry skin and its really helping soften the look of my stretchmarks.
At the mo I use Garnier Ambre Solaire No Streaks Bronzer, and as far as DIY spray tans go its been one of the best Ive used. It gives a nice natural hint, I havent experienced any streakiness etc. The only downfall being it doesnt really take much on my legs, but I cant find many that do lol. Ive also used St Tropez n thats really good stuff too!
Obv the important thing is good prep!
I make sure I use a good body scrub every other day and finish with lots of body butter. On the alternate day I use a moisturising shower cream, shave and finish with baby oil gel - its on this day I spritz with spray tan. 0 -
i honestly think there isnt one good fake tan that will suit everyone! lots of people i know swaer by dove/johnstons every day moisturiser....but it doesnt work for me AT ALL lol. im kinda jealous id love to be able to slap some on. although the st moritz has been very good to me gives me loads of colour, but then again my friend hates it and says it comes out really streaky on her??0
