Florida car hire

Hi, hope you can help - we are going to florida in november and need to hire a car, i have read a few article and books about what we need and its very confusing! I know there are different levels of insurance there varying in price. All i want to know is what is the bear minimum cover that should protect me from the most likeliest of problems - crashing into me, crashing into them etc. I dont want to pay above the nose for the whole package nor do i want to be out of pocket by not being covered!
Many thanks

hello natty
if you hire from a UK based car hire broker, your hire wil include the US equivalent of fully comprehensive insurance.
It is then up to you to decide if paying additional insurance to cover puctures, windscreen damge and the excess is worth it.
IMO, it isn't, but the opinions of others may vary.0 -
Hi, OH and I travel to Florida often as DS lives there. We usually just go with the CDW that comes with the initial price.
