By Train or by Car to London?

Im sorry I just cant get my head around someone who is clearly over 17 having never been on a train!!
Is this common?!!?!?
I don't think I was on a train till I was in my early twenties. I come from an area in Ireland where we just don't have any rail transport so there was never any opportunity. I made up for it when I moved to London though

It isn't about £35
It's £31.60 whether bought in advance or on the day.
Unless you buy it from the trainline, who charge you fees - if you do that it will cost MORE in advance. Is that where you got it from?
yea , since it is the same price to get ticket on the day and in advance I am gonna get it there at kiosk
another question, me and my friend gonna be down in london next week for touring purpose, I am getting a season ticket with Zone 1-6 covered , but as for him he only go there for a day, is it worth to get an underground day pass for him?0 -

Yes - assuming you are making more than one journey on the underground
Is he travelling with you from Basingstoke? In that case a combined day return/travelcard from Basingstoke may be cheaper (it is off peak for certain) than buying the two separately.0 -
I did another check with nationalrail.co.uk
Return Fare1 x Adult - Off-peak Day Travelcard£23.40
that seems reasonable enough with an online price, right?0 -
