Use a very strong mix of dettol and water on the seams of the matress and that should get rid of them it did the job for me anyway0

when backpacking in Oz they used to put mattresses and bedding outside in the sun for the day if there were bedbugs about. Not sure our weak sun here would do the same job... But at least you won't find a huge huntsman spider in your pillowcase after doing this here...
You can usually tell if its bed bugs as they bite in quite a unique way - you get straight lines of bites. I found I especially got them around the elbows, shoulders, ankles and knees. They were itchy but unlike mozzy bites I got no relief from scratching; it just made them hurt! Good luck!0 -
I work at a University and we have a set policy, if you would like I would forward it to you0

Bed bugs are killed by temperatures over 46C. Bit diffiult to achieve such temeratures in a house, unless you have some way of pumping in heat and stopping it from escaping."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

We brought fleas back caught on a flight from Cyprus:eek: Three of us sitting together, bites on back when we got home. Gonna wear a flea collar next time

Found a spray from the pet shop very useful, sprayed bed, upholstery, everything I could think of. Glad to report that we are now scratch free:jThe beautiful thing about learning is nobody can take it away from you.
Thanks to everyone who contributes to this wonderful forum. I'm very grateful for the guidance and friendliness that I always receive from you.
