It's not Egg. It's the software that EMM is based on (from Account Unity - I use this directly rather than EMM or the FD one) - it hasn't yet been updated to deal with the new Halifax banking system. They seem to be working on it though.

I can log into Halifax with three separate IDs - two have been updated to the new system, one has not. The one that's still on the old system continues to work just fine, but the other two aren't picking up correct info from Halifax. Until today, it was only showing the first account, and instead of an account number I was getting the words "view mini-statement". As of five minutes ago, it's showing all accounts. There are still some bits that need sorted - the credit card balances and funds available aren't showing, and the current account balances are still confused - e.g. the account that has 50p in it shows as "£0.500.00". (That did look good a few days ago when it told me I had "£1455.000.00" though LOL) Oh, and when I click to access Halifax on-line banking, it's logging me in and then instantly back out again.

So they are obviously working on it, and it should come right when Account Unity finish updating their software, and when Egg (or FD) update to the latest version.

Yes but its Egg thats incharge of Egg MM. I don't believe the software is completely the same (Account Unity), I think Egg MM have bought the software and change it to their needs.

If it's your case (that its the same as Account Unity), then FD customers would also be having problems logging into Halifax as they also use the same software.

The errors you are having are not the same as the ones we are having. I have an old account displaying, and this is not working. You are saying yours does and that it was your new account that wasn't.

Possibly they don't. What it's doing now is a lot better than what it was doing yesterday - perhaps they thought it better to release that while they were working on sorting out the rest of the bits that needed adjustment.

I don't know, tbh, but I imagine that with the number of institutions they cater for (lots of different countries - UK, US, Canada, Aus, NZ, Japan, S. Africa, HK, Singapore...whereas FD and EMM are UK-only, aren't they?) there are changes being made all the time, so I imagine they release new versions very frequently.

As I understand it, the AU updates are made available to those who have their "own-brand" versions, but not all of those will install every update. That makes sense - there's no point in FD updating when the only changes are on banking systems in Japan or NZ. I've noticed in the past that sometimes changes to one bank's on-line service take AU a few days to figure out, and then the EMM/FD services catch up, sooner or later.

What I was saying is that there are currently issues with Halifax and aggregation, because of Halifax's on-line banking update, and so EMM won't work with it just now - but possibly EMM has other things to fix too. Whatever EMM does though, it won't work while AU's isn't, iyswim.

They are. (I have the FD version too - I just rarely use it or EMM, because the AU-direct version suits me better). I get different errors on each system though, presumably because of the way each one implements the underlying software.

No - I'm not talking about new accounts at all.

The old accounts which are on the login which still takes me to the old Halifax service are working, as they always did.

The old accounts which are on the logins which take me to the new Halifax service are not working properly, but it's better than it was yesterday. Clear as mud? ;-)

Sorry I didn't make it clear enough for you.

    Old accounts = Old system
    New Accoutns = New system

I didn't mean new accounts as in brand new accounts.

I have an old account, on the old system (so the layout is not Lloyds yet) and it is not working.

A different problem to you. The bit in bold - not working for me!

    ---

I am also unsure what you mean by "new login". As the last change for Halifax's login was months ago. (the memorable information)

I know what problem you are having and I know how to fix it (if it's to do with memerable information), as I had the same problem.

This new problem popped up 2 days ago and has nothing to do with login in.

So what you're saying is that despite your accounts not being switched to Halifax's new system yet, you're having a problem - it looks like EMM has something else going on too then. Not much point in them fixing it yet though, until the AU software is updated.

I just had a look at EMM and I can't make it pick up anything from Halifax at the minute, regardless of which login I use. FD+ is picking up *one* of my Halifax accounts - which is interesting, as it's the one that AU itself was able to pick up yesterday.

I'm a bit baffled by that bit too, because I don't think I ever said anything about a new login...

Nope, I have no problem with the login, so it's nothing to do with memorable info. When I use AU to log into the actual on-line banking (rather than just getting the info displayed by AU), I get booted off again sharpish - but I can get around that if I'm quick enough to click on something else first, like one of the account names LOL.
