in Credit cards
The post has just arrived with a PIN from MBNA, addressed to my old address (we have the mail on redirect still). Thing is I haven't actually applied for one.
I spoke to my FA about applying for a Conran card last week, but haven't signed anything yet (that I remember), and I would have thought if it was that it would be branded Conran card not MBNA.
I can't find a number on the letter to call, I have never had an MBNA card, although my husband has, he recently cancelled it.
What do people suggest I do? I did a checked my credit rating only last week and there was nothing out of the ordinary on it.

If it helps, Conran card is run by MBNA. When we've had PINS in the post they are MBNA branded, no mention of Conran (however any letters etc are Conran branded).0

I'd give them a call - The only number i know is 08459 724 724 which is Abbey National Telephone Banking but if you choose option 2 it connects you to MBNA. Enter "0#" as your card number to bypass the automated balance system and speak to someone.
Have you ever had any MBNA cards in the past? Maybe an old account's still active, and the card's due for re-issue.Amazon sellers club - member number 63.

Thanks I phoned them and my FA had applied on our behalf, which is what we had asked him to do, but the stupid girl inthe office used our old address and has done for the 3 cards they are applying for for me. We haven't lived there for 6 months and they sorted out our mortgage so they knew we had moved. Hey ho though all sorted.0

Very good question.
Just shows you how easy it is to comit ID Theft, and a crook armed with a genuine card and PIN can do an awful lot of damage.
Here's how to hold card issuers/banks/lenders to account:
