Hi, my daughter has Nokia ,cant remember model, but its about 4 yrs old.
Recently when she turns it on, all her messages have automatically been deleted. Every old "special" message she had kept, every draft, all gone!
She was upset but thought it was a one off event, however it happens each time the phone is on/offed. Any ideas from you clever people?
Arty.

In order to eliminate handset problem, try your daughters SIM in another handset. If the messages remain in the inbox, you will know whether its a possible handset or SIM card problem.

There is not a setting to automatically delete messages, she could have a problem with the handset saving messages.

maybe also try a factory reset of the handset. This will clear everything like settings too

*#7370# send will completely reset the phone, and put the phone back to 'out of the box'.

If your daughter has not backed up her contacts, she will need to do this first. Saving contacts to the SIM will work and she can copy them back to the phone.
