I did actually mention that because I remember reading that here too. Her reply was that she was only trying to help and anyway getting a loan from someone in your family isn't really borrowing it is it  Then in the next breath she told me I had no right to appeal against any charges....which is when I lol'd

Yeah I know, it's just like banging your head against a brick wall with these people. Too much 'our system, it's the rules...' and not enough common sense unfotunately. I'd take it with a pinch of salt. I don't know any company who would take drastic action with one missed / lower payment. Good luck anyway and let us know how it goes :)

    Hi Looby

Can't really offer any advice sorry so sending you a (((hug)))

I know we all have to earn a living, but how do these employees sleep at night. shame on them!
  • I was bullied by some guy at MBNA. It would be interesting to know if as a result of their abysmal behavior whether their 'Advisor' would sleep at night if I'd then gone and stood in front of a train. I'll be hopefully either paying off the balance soon or returning to full payments as I have two endowement policies to sell.

Does texting constitute writing or phoning? I received 3 text messages yesterday evening after 9 pm, when my mobile was switched off, telling me I MUST contact them by the end of the day - no signature, but I recognised the 01244 number as MBNA.
I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.
