That's one hurdle cleared, now get the report which will hopefully say that on balence the faults were there when you bought the car, then go chase the dealer

i know the problem seems to have finally been diagnosed, but i am guessing that over heating in vauxhalls is quite common, 6 years ago i brought a P reg vauxhall vectra 2lt estate, and the previous owner had kindly had a button installed that as soon as you pressed it turned the fan on, i just thought it was a dear old man been over cautious:o, turns out in the 5 years of owning it i have never had a problem with the fan, ironically had to have the switched replaced twice as it caused the fan to come on consantly and you could not turn it off without disconnecting battery, but the vectra now is with all the other cars in the sky as all the wiring in the engine bay was cooked, and causing the car to stall all the time, and would have cost more to repair than it was worth:eek:
