It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

I like the way they can't be sure about how much they have borrowed at any point in time. Why does it have to be revised?0

Puts those £6 billion cuts into context

maybe they had a dig down the back of the sofa, and found a few quid ???Please take the time to have a look around my Daughter's website www.daisypalmertrust.co.uk

Pretty good news if you ask me. Despite what every uninformed Question Time audience member loves to say, amounts like £6 Billion aren't "a tiny drop in the ocean" they're a lot of money. That revised figure is £7.34Bn less than before & that's MORE than then entire £6Bn of cuts the Tories are doing in year one.0

Because it was a future estimate, I am pretty sure they will revise the 2010/11 figure at some point

so if the deficit was actually 5.5 bn less than expected does that mean that if the new spending cuts have reduced by 6bn it's actually more or less the same as it was under labour???Those who will not reason, are bigots, those who cannot, are fools, and those who dare not, are slaves. - Lord Byron0

Surely this can't be true.
In the last 6 months of office, Labour were operating a 'scorched earth' policy which included burning billions of pounds on a remote Scotish island in a blatant attempt to get fans of the KLF to vote for them.US housing: it's not a bubble

Oh, well, if we've already cut £1.2 billion more than planned, we can splurge out. It's not like the £6 billion the Torys plan to cut is based on ideological principals, is it?

Yes we only owe £893bn - you're right Labour have been totally vindicated from any mismanagement.....
I'm feeling dizzy from the amount of spin some try to manage on this board0
