it can't be true - this [STRIKE]unofficial tory party forum[/STRIKE] MSE forum has been telling me otherwisekennyboy66 wrote: »Surely this can't be true.
In the last 6 months of office, Labour were operating a 'scorched earth' policy which included burning billions of pounds on a remote Scotish island in a blatant attempt to get fans of the KLF to vote for them.0 -
So the ConDems have already saved £7.5bn.
Excellent work.Not Again0 -

I'm feeling dizzy from the amount of spin some try to manage on this board

Not necessarily so. They have only said they will cut/save 6bn. They have been silent on the matter of raising revenue/tax receipts/selling stuff.0 -
No they haven't. Taxes will be cut. They've been quite clear about that...It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0

In any case it is impossible to make an impact in 2010 with all the payoffs they have to make & that alone will increase borrowing.
They have promised to cut the lower & higher tax brackets & reduce Corp Tax & increase inheritance tax allowances.
The only thing left for them to do is increase VAT.
Unless you can think of another way of raising revenue like windfall tax on banks & the robbing of pension funds?
It ain't happening mate. Not this year..Not Again0 -
Its scotland i feel sorry for , it was basically them that enabled labour to get to power.... with promises of repairing and replacing what years of tories did oop north , and in those 13 years of labour nothing changed.
My spies tell me that Brown is considering running for the leadership of scots labour , with a view on being the premier.....as if fxxking over scotland once wasnt enough when he was in london hes coming back to finish what he started.
But still we can console in the fact that another working class leadership is in power with clegg and co , well working class in that these are the only people that will have any jobs .... you can see why they say education is the forefront of their manifestos , when you look at how the cabinet was nearly all in oxbridge. Why oh why do the people vote in toffs thinking that they are just like the common man , if these politicians were only voted in by those that had the same schools and wealth , ie common like them , then they would have had to give up their deposits after the election.Have you tried turning it off and on again?0 -
According to Radio 4's More Or Less, this lunchtime (generally regarded as a fairly unbiased source) the UK's government debt stands at around £90,000 per household and is still increasing.
Spin your way out of that, socialists!0 -
