Brilliant recipe.
Yes..they're very very rich, but delicious!
You only need a small piece to keep you going for hours!
I made a batch about 36 hours ago and, amazingly, there's still quite a bit left. (My usual baking normally gets eaten with 6 hours by my 2 teenagers!)
Thanks for giving me a recipe for something that hangs around just long enough for me to have a day without baking!!0 -
Sounds wonderful. Will try soonThank you for this site :jNow OH and I are both retired, MSE is a Godsend0

Made these and they're yum but sooo sweet.
Had a minor disaster with the icing: no idea what I did wrong. Fixed it in the end though.0 -
Just made these and they are fantastic!!! :j :j
Thought I'd got the recipe wrong at first because they are very, very crumbly when just out of the oven but as they cooled down they became much firmer
Haven't bothered with the icing but I'll definitely be making these again!!0 -

I've used up my last dregs of ingredients to do it, thankfully I had just enough. Can't wait until they are cooked. Thank you.

Hi,
I'm glad everyone likes them. I'm sure you can add another flavour to the icing but i've never tried, I think there'd be mutiny here if I tampered with them.0 -
Does anyone have another thing i can add to the icing? Would love to give these ago but i am allergic to coffee.Success means having to worry about every thing in the world......EXCEPT MONEY. Johnny Cash
