Mocha Squares recipe - highly calorific!

Options
Hi,

I've been requested to post this recipe - it's really quick and easy to make and delicious.

Set oven to 160 degrees C

Sorry it's in old "money"

8oz SR flour
8oz granulated sugar
2oz cocoa
5oz oats
8oz butter or marge

Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl, melt the butter and mix that in to the dry ingredients well. Press into a shallow tin about 10" by 6". Bake for 15 minutes - it will have puffed up a bit and feel squidgy but will settle as it cools.

When cool top with icing made with 2oz marg, tbsp of strong coffee (I use a spoonful of camp coffee essence) and 8oz icing sugar mixed to a thickly spreadable consistency.

Cut into squares. Leave overnight if you can - they are nice fresh but much better for being left.

I've never met anyone who doesn't rave over them.

If I had any icing sugar in, I would make this right now. It'll have to wait until Wed when I go shopping!
