Anyone received a lump sum from TCs yet?

Hi all, I am expecting a lump sum from the tax credits. Last years payments were based on previous income of 27000, but due to a bad year (we have our own business) it was actually 15000. I think I'm due a good lump sum back. I telephoned my renewal on 12/05, and then checked the forums and was pleased to see that everyone who had already renewed had received their money within about six days. I'vew not had anything yet, and I could really do with the money. Has anyone else who renewed recently received a lump sum yet?

    Hi.

Our earnings for the year were around 6k less than we had estimated and we got a lump sum of 1.5k back .

If your earnings were 12k less then you are due some lump sum payment alright !!! lol

I renewed over the phone on 29th April and received my lump sum into my bank account on 6th May :T

    Now that was quick lol.

Hopefully you will get your soon.

We had £66.85 within a fortnight, I'd recommend phoning them to ask about a timescale.

I phoned them as I was scared my £66.85 was a huge reduction in my current tax credits and not an additional payment from last year. They were very busy, I was on hold for 45 mins but I felt so much better after the call.
    OPs so far £42,139

Hope you get the lump sum payment soon. Be careful of using any numbers other then the main one. Saves a fortune, but I got a right telling off from one miserable jobsworth on the other end of the phone and was told to use the main number. May just have been unlucky

As Joanne has rightly said...no waiting when using this number, however it transpires that department is for overseas calllers, so don't be suprised if you are asked what country you are calling from, and then to be told "l will help you this time, but next time call 0845 blah blah

    Hi Joanne

With me it was a case on the first two occassions of calling the number the call was taken by a male and he was ok, didn't say anything, however the 3rd call a lady said about l should be using the 0845.

I now use 02890 538192 also on saynoto0870 never had to wait as long other posters have mentioned.

As a footnote, l just love sayto0870 l have saved £££££££ using that site
