Carrots - what did I do wrong?

I planted lots of chantenay carrot seeds in a big trough about 2 weeks ago and not a single one has germinated. What am I doing wrong? I thought carrots were supposed to be easy to grow. Is there a quick way to germinate some more? Help

Yes, there has been a noticeable difference in the past few days, much more growth and I suspect even the carrots might start appearing for those having problems.

Now, just make sure you are all kind and remember to do the watering this weekend!
