It's plunged +15 (+0.15%). Call out the national guard!
If you turn the graph the right way up you might save yourself some embarrassment in future.0 -
FTSE's back up above 5000 again now. Take off the tin foil hats, come out of your bunkers!0

Nooo, too risky.
Just sold my house at -70%, invested the proceeds in gold bars and stocked up on the beans.
Will join Doctor Bloom in his bunker later today, where we will hit refresh on the FTSE webpage every 5 mins and post a silly thread when it goes down a point.
Good luck to all of you0 -

Good luck everyone, we're all in this together, tin hats at the ready!
Closed down a *massive* 16 points.
It's no wonder people like you missed the boat back in February 2009.0 -
This just goes to show why you should never try and second guess the markets. You just end up looking silly as you cannot predict the unpredictable.
The OP's posts read like a newspaper headline. Lots of "plunge" or "plummet" when it goes down and "soars" when something bad goes up. Reads like a typical Daily Mail reader who actually knows nothing about the subject but repeats their rubbish as if it is gospel.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Nice to see you in here dunstonh, I see you as the sober voice of reason over on the pensions and investments boards, it'd be a valuable addition if you were a regular in here too."I can hear you whisperin', children, so I know you're down there. I can feel myself gettin' awful mad. I'm out of patience, children. I'm coming to find you now." - Harry Powell, Night of the Hunter, 1955.0 -
How embarassing for Doctor Gloom. And I wonder where he is now.
As for The White Horse - what's happened to you man? You're normally so sensible - if forthright - on most things.0 -

I think I would go crazy if I spent too much time in here. Half the threads seem to be started by gold lovers, property !!!!!s or attention seekers.
That said, its nice to pop in every now and then and have a [STRIKE]laugh[/STRIKE] serious discussion.

Today's FTSE graph looks like some adrenalin junkies worst nightmare.
