thanks will do, i am 99% sure he doesnt know we still have it so it wont be missed. He is away for the weekend so i can go through everything else to see what is there. people at work are telling me to keep/copy payslips incase i need them for the CSA?? seems a bit like theft cause they arent mine, at least the letters are addressed to us jointly

To be honest, it doesn't matter what was bought with whose money as, on the face of it, you each contributed 50/50 to the total cost of running the house.
And, as others have said, there are kids involved which changes everything.

Don't forget bank accounts, especially any joint ones. If you have any joint accounts you need to speak to the bank as he could empty them.
Whilst you have the opportunity, get all your own important papers, yours and childrens passports etc. out of the house and store them with someone trustworthy.0
