Put the cancellation in writing and send it recorded delivery.
under these regs your old boy should have been given cancellation rights AND instructions on how to cancel (usually a slip to send).
if he has not received this or not been notified of his cancellation rights then it is a criminal offence.
let your local TSD know - a recorded delivery letter woudl still suffice in cancelling the contract and receiving your full refund to which you are entitled.0
