to be honest - your locked in - they don't actually have to provide a MAC anyway since it is not a right to have it

you might be able to negioiate with them, and pay the remainder of the contract off, or the activation charge of some sort

but other than that, your stuck I am afraid

Choosing to sign up with Ezeedsl was probably not a good idea.
No, they don't have to issue you with a MAC, this code of practice is optional at the moment.
You may have seen discussion about Ofcom considering to make it compulsory, but that won't help you.

I don't know of anyone getting a MAC out of Ezee! They say they will provide one if you pay the full 12 months contract that you signed up for, but i don't know if anyone went that far.
The problem will still be there at the end of the `12 month contract, because it's very unlikely they will want to lose customers.

You probably don't have to warn people not to sign up with them, because the fact is that no one is! The operation was really set up to mop up e7even customers after conspiring with Netservices/Tiscali
as Ofcom say in their new proposal:
1.15 In this case, Ofcom made it clear to both Tiscali and Netservices that it did not consider it appropriate for wholesale providers to restrict customers’ choice of a new supplier. However, these wholesale providers did not change their course of action, and Ofcom was unable to take formal action to remedy the situation due to the
voluntary nature of the MAC process.

Your options aren't good, i'm afraid, but you could always try asking over here if you need more info

Yeah, thanks for that, sounds great, doesn't it?

But let's hope they really do implement it fully :)
