I must admit I am very relieved that our postal and Text threads are safe. :T
I am sorry to be a pain, but I'm still slightly confused. Could we have some further clarification if we are ok to continue with our small purchase required comps, using the max text cost of £1.50 as a guide.
I am reading that some small cost is ok. I often find that if a comp needs a small purchase, it just means I swap brands for a while to get an entry, so it doesnt really cost me extra. But without the threads on here, I would very likely miss the comp completely. As it is we have some threads running (which I find very helpful) which need a small purchase, and others still being deleted.
If they are still allowed, should we group them in a small purchase required thread, sub forum, or continue with the seperate threads, but maybe add purchase required to the title. My light may be on, but that doesn't always mean I am looking at the PC - I am far more likely to be cuddling or feeding Tianna atm, so please don't think I am ignoring you if I don't reply quickly

Hi guys!
I totally agree with the idea of a separate "Low spend comps" thread!
If i'm buying a pack of crisps or a chocolate, might as well go for the one with a chance of winning something...
Why a £1.50 text is an acceptable spend, when 60p on a product (that one might have purchased anyway) + a chance to win a big prize is not?
Also i'm still a little bit puzzled as to why the "Kit Kat Senses competition for 100 x £1000" i have posted has been deleted pretty much immediately, when Magnum and Doritos are still on...
How good is a rule when it's being applied selectively ?0 -
I like the postal comps thread the way it is now.
Why change something that's not broken?42.7 percent of all statistics are made up on the spot:hello: Good Luck everyone !:hello:0 -

From what I read postals were not affected by this.
What has been suggested is adding yet another sticky thread for 'low spend comps' within the main comps board.
Although personally I don't see that is really necessary. So long as there is the hint in the title such as *purchase req*
These comps seem to arrive in clusters then there are none for months - so it might be a wasted thread - and one that is overlooked (I barely have time to get through the main board - so if anything is in dailies or reg's then I usually miss them.)
The clarification is in the rules - max £1.50 (if that covers a wasteful text then surely it covers a tub of butter or packet of crisps you will actually get some use from) although that does not explain why some are deleted and some are allowed.Jo x2007:£5181.09 2008: £6619.70 2009: £4284.49 2010: £5213.14 2011: £4980.62 2012: £3188.52

I think if you look at the stickies, some of them could be joined together now, so that there were less. For instance the ones on expiry date, copying text, and even the 2 on searching could be added to the Rules sticky, etc. This one will one could drop and the relevent info also added to the rules.
I do agree retaining the individual threads would be lovely, but I also feel that stills remains to be confirmed. I hope that by offering to use either one thread or a sub-forum, we could retain the comps if we were unable to have them as seperate threads. At the moment, we have some running and some being deleted still.
When I posted the post below, I also pm'd it to MSE Andrea at the same time on the 29 April. So hopefully we'll get it clarified.I must admit I am very relieved that our postal and Text threads are safe. :T
