    I have found it cheaper to "lend" the CD from the local library. Here in Plymouth it's 90p per CD (same for double CD's). Copy to hard disk with CDEX. Cheap and legal.

    in what way is that possibly legal? you are illegally copying music that you do not own. you pay your 90p to listen to it not to copy it.

    ROFL. I suppose photocopying entire books from the library is legal as well? Might I suggest you acquaint yourself with copyright law.

    Thanks for all your suggestions folks, and in answer to all your questions....
    I wont be putting them onto an mp3 player, just copying onto a cd to use around home and in the car. And although price isnt a major factor, i dont want to be robbed.
