They must have dropped the fee in November then, as the one I did in August was for the higher amount! ;)

Mine was in August too and I cannot believe just how much the fee has dropped for exactly the same job. You can't even give a false 'phone number like you can for Bare visits, as you need to assess the follow up. They are still calling me with 'special offers' nearly a year after I told them and GFK told them to stop sending me marketing info.

On the plus side for GFK .. 10 mins in a cinema asking questions for half a test drive fee :) more of the same please!!

Sometimes assignments are more strightforward than others. But you could turn up at the cinema and have to wait a while to get to see who you have to talk to.

I feel I need to say, that it is comments like these that clients and agencies read and have contributed to the cuts in our fees.
We shouldn't undersell ourselves yet it's happening more and more sadly.

I love those cinema jobs - some of the managers are fascinating to talk to, as they obviously love their jobs! :T

Many people who mystery shop appear to undersell themselves everyday of the week. As long as shoppers take the jobs at the fees now being offered, then they will just go lower and lower until (as we now see with some companies) shoppers are actually out of pocket for going to work.

Before you all jump on me with .. we like to do it for fun, to get better service or free stuff .. remember there's a client PAYING a mystery shopping company and you deserve a fee that reflects your hard work.

...and the client is paying a hell of a lot more than we get!

I wish I could afford to do it for fun. I manage to do some of the lower paid jobs only due to better rates paid by a few companies. However, it seems that more and more companies are dropping their fees, and with the emergency budget and all the potential job lossed I for one am worried. :(

I thought that was the point I was making....we do deserve a good fee that reflects the work , sadly they are all reading comments on forums and seeing how low they can go. Fees are falling more quickly than ever :(

I have enjoyed MSing for years but I do take it seriously and feel my commitment, time and effort are worthy of a good fee and our comments on here should also reflect that.

Not at all. Just a few too many trouble-causers on this forum.
