Fiver, can't you record it with the voice recorder and then work it back from the time the recorder was on? I did this when I borrowed DH's iPhone the other day and when I joined the queue I'd cough, sniff or do something and of course when i was served you do it from the time you hear the cashier's voice. It worked fine for me.

Perserverence! Similar to the conversation we had on the board yesterday regarding jobs for React. Keep on applying for jobs and one day you will be allocated one. Keep checking the website as new assignments are downloaded or shoppers may cancel an assignment. Make sure you have a contact telephone number on your ESA profile as they usually phone trying to cover jobs no-one else wants to do. Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and take a job some miles away just to get a foot in the mystery shopping door.

That's just what I'm doing - there's a job 12 miles from me (think it's one of the non-egg ones iykwim) - can't really be bothered to go there but I've just applied as otherwise I'm never going to get anything from them.

Good idea, I'll do that :)

Ahhhhhh, just been emailed 5 jobs that I can do in my local area. But they are all fast food restaurants and I'm meant to be on a diet!!

    Do I do them?

It's a free lunch / tea and a shopper fee!!

I've stopped doing fast food on my diet, unless it's a drive through/take away where I can give the food away. As I'm paying £5 a week to do slimming world it really isn't worth the fee if I end up having to go to slimming world for an extra couple of weeks when I'm closer to my target.

I'm doing a couple of GAP jobs in a different town later - dine-in pizza and then a drive-thru on way home (they called me yesterday and bribed me to do it as I was in the area anyway). Just going through the paperwork for the burger job and the store address is indeed where I was told it was (no problem there), but then under "outlet notes", the directions are for a different outlet! Has anyone had this before with GAP? I'm assuming the address is correct and the notes wrong... but don't want to not get paid for it! I haven't shopped this one before so can't check the store no from a receipt. I would email GAP and ask, but given the time difference, I won't have a reply before I go (need to go straight from school run).

My other question: dine-in pizza jobs: what's the best thing to order for 2 adults & 2 kids (5 &7) to come in not too much over the reimbursement? Last time we got garlic bread & large pizza for DP & I and got kids meals on a separate receipt... but didn't come in particularly cheap! I'm skint this week so could do with doing it as cheap as poss. Will need to get them a drink too - do you reckon I would get away with it on the same receipt?

Oh and timescales: pizza has to be between 3-5 - I'm assuming so long as we get there before 5 it is OK? Should be there around 4.15-4.30, so prob not going to be out of there by 5.

I think that's all the silly questions for now!!

You know after printing the paperwork for my 6 assignments this weekend each assignment 8-10 pages in length WOW what the heck look at all the paper i feel im wasting lol... anyone else feel like they go through a lot of paper!
I don't print anything nowadays. I copy & paste it into the "SimpleNote" app on my iPhone and fill it in on there. It's then all backed up online with SimpleNote website so if I ever need to check back or print anything off, it's there ... saves me a fortune, not so much in paper, but in printing ink!!

How do you get jobs with ESA? I keep applying and don't get any!
I must have applied for between 300 and 400 jobs with them before I was allocated any. I phoned them in the end as I was getting so exasperated and they said they would add me to a special database of people who had, in their words, "slipped through the net". Since then I've been getting jobs from them on a pretty regular basis and have been given self-allocation privileges.

My only qualm with them is that they only pay once a month, and it always seems to be ages from when I did the jobs to getting paid.

So, don't give up, you'll get there eventually, and it's worth it when you do!! Give them a call, say you've been applying and never got anything, and see what they say.

    Good luck!!

Could you cut down on other meals/snacks or do some extra exercise to make up for it? That's what I do :D
Here I go again on my own....
