    Just got an email from Gapbuster this morning...

    To be honest, I stopped eating their free burgers along time ago and there's not much else on there so I won't miss them. No more phone calls from distressed sounding Aussies asking to do a mystery burger / rubber chicken assignment 300 miles away. "No I don't live near the Shetland Islands!". I can now get pineapple on my pizzas as well.

    Yay!.:j

    Morning all

    I wonder why they drop people like that - does anyone know? :huh:

    When MS companies say that you mustn't have any friends or family working at a store, how close do you think they mean by friends? I know a couple of people at a store that's just come up on GR, but they're only casual acquaintances (went to college with one) rather than friends. Do you think this would still exclude me from the shop?

    I always think this is a hard one especially when it is a local shop and I am "acquainted" with the staff but I don't consider them to be friends. I try to weigh up how much it would influence my judgement and make my decision that way. If they might greet you like a long lost friend it wouldn't be a good idea and I suppose if they struck up any form of personal conversation it would be a problem. You could try to go when they are off but if they are there try to avoid them. :)

    Maybe because a new shopper's come along in their area who's willing to travel 300 miles to the Shetland Isles? :D

    H'mm. That'll be worthwhile...

    Unless they give you several petrol station assignments to cover fuel costs. Assuming:

    a) the petrol station is open for more than 4 hours a week;
    b) hasn't changed hands to a different company;
    c) hasn't burnt down;
    d) isn't in a rural area and has (literally!) a horse behind the counter. I had to mark it down on customer service as it wasn't in uniform and didn't ask me for a reward card.
  • Anyone done the RE electrical stores where you are assessing the recommendation of a particular brand. If anyone has can they PM me as I have a slightly bizarre question. Thanks

    Little bit off topic but not really given how useful they are to us. Has anyone seen the new iPhone?

    Apparently it'll be launched on 24th, they're taking pre-orders in a weeks time :D

    I'll be one of the first in the queue, the silent button keeps playing up on my 3G and they charge up to £140 to fix it so for that price I may aswell have a nice shiny new one :rotfl:

    I love it and shall also be first in queue. Funny how they're not really doing anything that is really revolutionary (although HD videos on a phone is impressive!) but we'll all still bow down to them haha.

    The power of Apple.

    And of course they'd have to actually pay you the full cost of the petrol you're required to buy at each petrol station to make it worthwhile... :D

    ...I'm not even asking about the horse!
