    Afternoon everyone,

Weather gorgeous here, I will even say its a little too hot in the back garden!

took DS1 to school and asked about sunscreen, what the plan is for keeping the kids protected. I was expecting a donation from parents and the teachers and staff would sort the kids out. Instead I was told due to rules they cant touch the childrens skin, so for aaron to take in cream keep it in his tray and they will remind him to put on at lunch time!

We do this will his dermatitus cream but I thought that it was because it was medicated and contained steroids that the staff couldnt put it on. DS1 will get a lesson in applying sun cream later!

    Tea is chicken and pasta.

Take care in the sun everyone xx

    Hey everyone.

Having a moments peace, Ds at nursery and DD asleep. Had a carp nights sleep so feel knackered today. It's muggy and cloudy but I am not complaining :) Need to go and sort something out for dinner tonight - meal planning has gone out of the window - just don't seem to fancy half the stuff I have listed :o
2 loads of washing done, one lot dry just waiting for the next load and I can put it away. Making a list of jobs I want to do the weekend.....not sure how I am going to fit it all in  I just never seem to have enough hours in the day unless I never sit down.......ho hum.

No other OS I am afraid, housework sort of done but haven't done my daily vac yet <sigh>

Jayward - Hugs to you xx

JackieG - hope your botty is feeling better x

    Diva - Hope you're OK x

    Pen-pin - Hope you're OK too x

NPM - Hope you've kicked some @rse at school x

ugh I am fully bunged up - and could really do with not being! 20 6yr olds for 2hrs on Saturday, so am getting a headstart and doing all the party bag things now. Well, the party bag will consist of a decorated plastic plate (flying saucer!) then one thing each - decorated tshirt, colouring book & pens, yoyo etc; then stickers, sweets, bouncy ball and a piece of cake. All wrapped up in Tissue paper with a ribbon. Party is Ben 10 themed (cheaply) so games will be musical aliens, pass the parcel, defrost the alien (team game), decorate the omnitrix (biscuit with icing!). Then I'll collapse with a takeaway and have an early night I hope!! Have still to cook the cake, but everything else will be done on Saturday morning and then served cold - why not if it is going to be as hot as they say!!
Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx

March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.

Was woken up this morning by what sounded like someone being murdered or a cockerel learning to crow but later found out it was the flats downstairs new puppy,he'd gone to work early and he was on his own, never thought a racket like that could come from something so little, only 6 wks old bless him.
Anyway i've been into town to have my eyes tested and all is ok apart from some of my blood vessels being wiggly which he said was a sign of blood pressure being high but i've never suffered with that so optician has sent a letter to my doc,see what he says
Went into a couple of CS and got 2 lamp shades for my bedroom, got them home and found that they are Laura Ashley so for £2 well chuffed
Got home, cleaned up and decided to have pizza with left over bacon and mush on it
    Thats my news today

    Afternoon All

Special ((((((((((((((Hugs))))))))))))) to Cranky, Jayward, Diva, Npm, JackieG and anyone else who needs one today x

DH decided to go to Ikea Bletchley today so we had a nice cheap brekkie on the family card (98p each with as much coffee as we wanted :D)

Rest of the morning turned into a complete nightmare - the staff were on the whole thick and couldn't be bothered to help customers
What ever happened to customer service in this country?:(
We spent £700 and still have to pay £45 on top of that for delivery  DH really on one now so I have had his growling most of the afternoon - thank goodness he is off to work in 5 minutes.

The rest of my day is going to be spent hitting the bottle...................... Of Disinfectant :rotfl: bin was emptied today so I like to scrub it out with lots of disinfectant and an old mop.

Thanks for listening to my rant girls and boys or not as the case may be:)

Will pop back later - take care x
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

    HI Everyone,

Popped back in to send hugs Jayward's way, poor soul, you must be really fed up.

I haven't had a very good day, feeling nauseous and headachey and stiff. I know I definitely never banged my head yesterday so goodness knows what's going on. Took a tramadol, which has helped slightly, but the headache hasn't gone. I'm away back to lie down again. X

    Afternoon all

I've read thread but not taken it in so (((hug))) if you want/need one, especially for Cranky and the house elf

Busy day at work. Collected my minibus from the repairers after it's breakdown 2 weeks ago, finally fixed. That took 90mins as the repairers is next town over and meant trip on motorway. Then spent the rest of day assessing education files. Got half done, half to finish tomorrow. Should be easy tomorrow as they are all in right order now so should be done quick enough.

My colleague's wife made us some amazing cupcakes today. They have green icing, then an Oreo on top which had yellow butter icing around it, and a marzipan ladybug. They looked like sunflowers. She is an amazing cake maker and really should take it up full time. I wish I could do cakes like that!

I'm brain dead now from all the assessing, so plan on trashy mag and chill out tonight. No idea what to have for tea, freezer surprise probably.

    Have a good evening all

Jackie G, I'm sure that I've read somewhere that you can get concussion from falling on your bottom, something to do with the spinal column I think, maybe you ought to get it checked out.

Butterfly Brain, I was down in your neck of the woods this morning at a meeting in the Council Offices.

I had a bit of a traumatic afternoon, being interviewd for local TV news and I've been asked to do an interview on local radio early tomorrow morning. I hate having to do that.

Not a lot OS going on I'm afraid.

Sranky, I hope you are ok.

    Evening all,

Its a beautiful sunny warm day here...got some more boxes done and a basket each for DDs 3&4 and DS3, got more beans in, that will be last lot until we come back off holidays. Kerry had a wonderful time biting the water as I was watering the stuff in the back that we had just planted, will do front later on so as not to use too much water at a time, even though it is from the well and not the mains.

Couldn't think of cooking, so we had a large salad each with some chicken that was in fridge, in the middle of preparation I remembered that we had no bread so whipped up a few flatbreads which cook and cool quickly.

JackieG....think that you should investigate the headache thing, probably not related to fall, but just in case.

Jayward....sorry to hear that you are so poorly, hope that you improve soon.

Cranky...thinking of you and George to-day.

Taplady....congratulations on refund....what's seldom is wonderful!

Need to sort out holiday insurance soon, used to have civil service one, but it won't cover OH now if anything happens to him....know that Italian health service is fine, am just concerned in case he has another stroke or such like, need to have repatriation cover for that, as don't fancy being stuck in Sardinia just to visit him in hospital for the rest of my life! Yeah, I know that I'm a mean soandso, where do you think I got my name from?

Hugs to Ladygrim, Diva, PP and anyone else in need of one.

    Marie
