Have noticed alot of people on this board saying that the Retentions dept at the various Mobile Operators are not so eager to keep your business these days. I seem to be having the same same issue with Orange (been with them for years).

Am I just imagining this or is there some policy shift amongst them?

Thanks

PS. Alot of the links on this board including on the main navigation bar are not working.....is this juniorgyptiontata user messing about with the site? Or is it this early start?? lol

You have to remember that even retentions have limits. The cost of the phone has to be covered over the course of the contract. Some people (and only some) seem to think they can get a £400 smart phone for £10 a month for 18/24 months with free evey thing thrown in.

Also, any offer is based on your spend over the last 6 months. If you got a really great deal last time, then your not spending much, if anything, over your contract price and are not building up much of a spend.

It can be better to get your pac and get a new customer deal somewhere else. . .
