I have skype installed on my iphone the wife has skype installed on her N95.
However I tried to call her the other day from my office with full wifi signal. She was at home also with full wifi signal but it came up telling me to buy skype credit?!? I was under the impression that skype allowed free VoIP calls to any device with skype installed...or am I misunderstanding something?

I'm assuming you dialled her phone number thinking it woukd be free. You both need to have a skype username and add each other as a contact. You then call the skype username not her mobile number

Ive not seen the GUI ont he N95 for skype, but you need to add her as a contact (basically you can put in the username/name/surname etc in their to find her) Once added as a contract. Dial the contact, not her mobile number.
If you dial the number directly you would be using skype but she wouldn't.
