Microwave Porridge - How please?

I've decided to try having porridge for lunch at work as a change from sandwiches. We've got a microwave, so can cook it no problem, but am just thinking how to transport it there in the morning... Could I measure out the right amount of oats and milk and put this all into one tupperware container tonight, leave in the fridge, then stir it up before microwaving it tomorrow lunchtime? Or would it be best to keep all the ingredients separate until cooking (not sure I've got anything to take the milk in though...)
Thanks!

Wow, thanks for the speedy response! So it's fine just to bung all the 'raw' ingredients in together for 14+ hours before actually cooking them (don't have a microwave at home)?0 -
I think if you do this the oats will soak up a lot of the milk, but you could always add some water before you microwave it.
the oats will be lovely and soft and gooey so why not have a taste before cooking them - you might like it! I actually prefer soaked oats to porridge now.weaving through the chaos...0 -
Or, you could put dried milk and sugar with the oats and add water at work.0

I always soak my oats overnight - it makes them much softer as an earlier poster said.
As long as you store in the fridge at work you'll be fine!

Pleased to report back that it worked fine! After 2 mins in the microwave it was quite stodgy, so added a bit of water - (had to do a quick clean-up job after another minute though as soon as I took my eyes off it it was bubbling over the top!) Bought some of the Sainsbury's Basics frozen mixed berries to put in in the future.0
