Internet in Spain

Hi. Would you be able to help us? We have a property in southern Spain and would like to get internet access. We do not have a phone line (telefonica would be the only option for this) nor do we currently have Sky TV (and are unsure if this would be able to provide internet access in Spain anyway). We spend around 4-5 months a year over there and so are hesitant to get a landline with broadband as telefonica are expensive and we don’t think we would generate the usage to warrant the monthly costs. Many Thanks.

Your cheapest option to be honest would be a local internet cafe. Or pop into a mobile phone shop in Spain to enquire about an internet dongle, at least you can take a laptop with you.
Also have a Google for forums located within the area of Spain you have a place and ask others how they manage. Sites such as nerjanow. com
Best of luck0 -

Agreed with the internet cafe idea.
Although it might not be the best/easiest idea, however USB modems etc will be extortionate to use abroad.0 -
Thank you for your replies, we did look at dongles but they only have a very limited amount of data allowance so are no good for MSN etc. I guess we'll take up residence in the local cafe's until we find a viable solution ;o)0

We got wifi in El Corte Ingles cafe while having our breakfast. Just had to ask for the key and they gave it no problem.Aclowntant wrote: »Thank you for your replies, we did look at dongles but they only have a very limited amount of data allowance so are no good for MSN etc. I guess we'll take up residence in the local cafe's until we find a viable solution ;o)0
