  • The correct answer is 120,000/TEN years providing you are on the standard service shedule, drive under "normal conditions" according to the "magic trade book" I won't mention.

    However, I have heard of these engines dropping them earlier, I don't like the idea of leaving a diesel belt on that long, but I wouldn't say you should be panicing desperately yet.

    personally i would not leave it that long.

    6 years or 60k would be my limit better to be safe than sorry

    mines a 2004 model and the belts not been changed yet, should i get mine done, ive done 34k miles

    The car is French so it's anyone's guess ! It will go 100Km before anybody tells you it - will with a Gallic shrug, just to be a s*d.
    This vehicle is made by a nation that drove around in corrugated tin sheds until just a couple of year's ago. Now they specialise in 'vehicle's' that cost more to service that the Space Shuttle.
  • Ive just sent my 1.4ltr 206 lx in for a cambelt change ive rang everywhere i can think of and have had prices ranging from £130 to £175. but remember to get your water pump done too. it wil save more money.

    I have the above car with 95k on the clock. DO i have to change any belts? i am been scared constantly that a bel need to be changed at 100k. if so please confirm costs
