Reusing Special Delivery Bags - Rant

its hardly covering it is it
no need, play nice;)
Special delivery bags are tamper proof therefore when they ar eopened they tend to tear, or else they have to be cut open. Obviously they are not resealable. Therefore it is actually going to take a great deal of tape to either cover up the cut open end or the tearing where the bag was originally opened.
Compare that to a brand new biodegradable bag, cost approx 9p and no sellotape needed and doesn't even need an address label as the address can be written on.
The PO dislike people using special delivery bags as I think they suspect people are getting the free ones, and butchering them to make it look as though they are not new.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Did you read that midnight?Without the SD labels and covered in packing tape? I think it's a poor do, what would they say if I sent it in a grey plastic bag that wasn't an SD bag?
By play nice, do you mean abuse an entire workforce doing a difficult job but don't question a member here?0 -

it's not that difficult. I mean i think generally posties do a good job, i know a couple of people who do the job, i realise they have been put under pressure with larger rounds, sometimes even too large to complete in a day.
But do posties think they are the only workers in the uk with hard to achieve targets, who get immense pressure from their superiors?
Imagine being a surgeon working for the NHS, ridiculous amounts of paper work to get through, no beds for your patents, departmental cutbacks, having to work long hours, feeling exhausted then still having to go and perform a triple heart bypass. Now that’s a difficult job.
Opening a letterbox and showing a letter though?.......nah, that’s not difficult, sorry......."A wise man once told me don't argue with fools because people from a distance can't tell who is who"........0 -
"do posties think", I'm not a postman so I have no idea what they think. That was my statement not theirs. Let's just agree with the assertion that they are all humourless because they have an easy job.
Though you may find you need the services of a postman more often than a surgeon.0 -
Maybe but i won't die if my mail doesn't get delivered though i might if me ticker starts playin up and i can't get a good surgeon

I'm not having a go at you or posties. But everyone these days seems to want to claim to have "hard" and "difficult" jobs, when in fact most have relatively easy, straightforward jobs.
The posties did annoy me with their strikes over "pay and conditons" though. I mean they were in the middle of a recession with a secure job, resonably paid with decent long term security and they wanted sympathy.
They should just be glad they were not in the building trade or manufacturing where hundreds of thousands of people lost their jobs.
But it's not just posties, i'm sick of hearing about BA staff striking, they are the highest paid cabin crew of all major uk airlines and they are striking over pay? p1ss off.
Anyway, slightly off topic rant over....what was the o.p. about again.....:rotfl:......"A wise man once told me don't argue with fools because people from a distance can't tell who is who"........0
