Mobile network discounters and prefix numbers

Ive got a £10 a month contract with virgin mobile which includes free call & text allowance.

When I got my last bill, I noticed that IM being charged for calls to non virgin mobile networks, especially to my friend who is on a BT mobile network (vodafone).

I am already registered with the www.18185.co.uk service but find dialling the 020 81 80 2828 prefix a pain as its not possible to simply program the prefix in the phone memory against my friends numbers and dial, you have to dial the number first, wait for the announcement and then manually dial the required number.

IM therefore looking for a network discounter which allows me to dial the entire prefix and number in one go. Anyone know if this is provided by any call discount services?

All info welcome

Why don't you put a pause between the prefix number and the actual number you will be calling. Then you can save all the numbers with the prefix, so everytime you call these certain numbers, they will be dialled with the prefix automatically, followed by the person you are calling?

    Example:

020 81 80 2828 pxxxxxxxxx(contact numbet)....you get the 'p' (pause) by pressing *on keypad 3 times in quick succession. That's how I use my over ride numbers.
    I hope this is helpful.

... and if there are numbers in your phonebook that you haven't yet edited, you can open a phonebook entry after dialling the access number then find Send DTMF in the menu
