    Thanks for this information.

Can anyone provide a bit more clarification?

Do you have to be careful when porting FROM one cashback deal TO another one. For instance, making sure the port does not go through a day before the 12 month original contract so as not to invalidate that one, whilst also (as Reesit points out) making sure the PAC no. is given at point of purchase on new contract? If this is the case, is it best to give a few days leeway, i.e. purchase and port right at end of 12 months, so as to avoid any problems? This may mean paying up a week or two more on original contract, but may be worth it.....

    Cheers!
    Waddle you do eh?
  • I guess it all depends whether your cashback is dependant on the 12th bill to be used.

Trying to port right at the conclusion of the 12 months is difficult as it normally requires 5 working days to process, but can be delayed.

I'd advise to either do as you say - port after the 12 months has definitely completed, or ask the network to transfer you to their PAYG offering as soon as the 12 months contract has completed.

Never used Mobileshop - are they good?

I notice they offer 1 months free insurance - is this something I have to cancel?

I've just taken out a similar contract with carphone warehouse (bah, got to pay a whole month to them!) on a used phone, but seems ok to me. I'm looking to transfer my three number over to which ever network.

I've just signed-up with mobileshop after reading the majority of the postings on cashback schemes.

Mobileshop seem to be one of the most reliable cash back companies to deal with, so long as you fulfill their T&C.

It is compulsory to sign-up to one of their insurance policies (1st month free) but it's terms state that you can cancel this policy with immediate effect

    Standard Insurance Information
You have a right to cancel the insurance by giving written notice of cancellation within 14 days of the receipt of confirmation of insurance cover to the Citymain Administrators Limited (“the Administrator”) at P O Box 116 Ryde PO33 2WX quoting your mobile phone number.

I will personally write away to them as soon as I recieve the phone to cancel the policy, which will stop them from charging me in the future.

You might want to check with your bank just to make sure they dont setup a DD.
