HTC Desire - Speech to text...

I have this feature on my Nexus One.

Installed it this morning on my mate's Desire and it works really well.

Don't understand why it isn't standard on the Desire.

The Desire has Text to Speech (not the other way around).

It does if you've downloaded the apps described in the XDA forums.

I think it works OK but it certainly isn't perfect, its interpretation is amusing though.

Why it's not standard I don't know, perhaps it's Google's attempt at some exclusivity for the N1.

It works really well on my mate's Desire. It is part of vanilla Android. Maybe thats why it isn't on the Desire.

Actually I now have the HTC Sense keyboard on my N1. It is better than the stock Android.
