O2 Simplicity PAYG
Im on pay as you go with O2 and I've just recieved a text saying that the Simplicity tariff is now avaliable for pay as you go phones. The text said unlimited texts from £5. I rang the info hotline (2202) to learn more about it and it sounds good!
Unlimited texts £5
Unlimited texts and inclusive minutes £10
Unlimited texts and unlimited web £10
Unlimited texts, unlimited web and inclusive minutes £15
I switched to the Text and Web tariff when the existing customer promotion was on and I thought £15 was cheap for unlimited web and texts!
Oh and you keep your existing sim / phone / number
UPDATE: There are some drawbacks, this actually seems to be quite similar to bolt ons. Its not a case of topping up that amount ie £10 and then you get the allowances, it then debits that amount from your top up, where as I am on text and web, i get the allowance and still keep all my credit. So that means top up £10, get unlimited text and web but you have no credit left for calls! Also the minimum top up with O2 is £10 so £5 unlimited texts is actually £10 unlimited texts (with £5 credit left over).

I did wonder about that side of things. When I first looked into this tariff I thought what a good deal, however it seems you're still paying £10 per month for the unlimited texts and 100 mins or 500 mb web data.
I'm tempted by the £5 per month deal as I only really text, at least I'll have £5 left over to make calls if I really need to. Do you know if the unused credit rolls over into the next month?0
