I have got to leave Talk Talk!

Now rather confused. I spoke with a chap at idnet and he gave me the impression that they would try to move me over! Because I'm with TT, it might not be possible to move except to BT. The cost would be £80+ if I could move to idnet.
Reading your link, it seems that it can be done and only at a cost of £38. I think I will call again.0

Would be great if you could. Was planning to use them if my planned migration to full llu c&w doesn't work out.
Got trapped with TT myself before and had to go back to BT.“I look like Spiderman at a funeral”~ Karl Pilkington0

If you give them a call Norm, they can do some speedtests etc with you and see where it's all going wrong.0

Dave, did you mean for me to call Talk Talk? If so, I have on several occasions. I'm getting, slow speed, dropped connections. If I hear, "Switch off your router for 30 seconds and then switch it on again", one more time!!!:mad:0

Because my line is with TT and not BT.
This is puzzling me - I'm thinking of getting a line with TalkTalk changed over to IDNet for phone and Broadband (the line is currently phone only, no Broadband) yet on talking to IDNet they have said it can be done without any problems, ie it would convert from TalkTalk to IDNet then have Broadband added.
The line is of course ultimately 'really' BT's, the bills and customer service simply go via TalkTalk. BT send out a flyer every so often to try and tempt me back (the bills and customer services were via BT up to about four years ago, when lower prices tempted the change over to Broadband).
So why should there be problems converting from TalkTalk to IDNet (or TalkTalk to anyone else for that matter?). 0 0

Talktalk offer voice and broadband either reselling BT Wholesale products or via their fully unbundled network (http://www.btwholesale.com/pages/static/Products/Broadband/Local_Loop_Unbundling.html) where the line becomes a TalkTalk line.
No problem switching if it's simply resold BT product. If it's LLU then it's not a BT line and you can only get broadband from Talktalk unless you convert back to BT's network which is not easy mainly through lack of knowledge/incentive barring a few providers.“I look like Spiderman at a funeral”~ Karl Pilkington0

I see, thanks for clearing that up. 0 0

            Hi Guys,
To clarify in reference to LLU lines (which are usually denoted by inclusive BB as opposed ot chargeabel Broadband) in order to migrate to another provider you may need ot return to BT in a process known as Return To Donor. This is as many ISP's do not ahve the faciility to take over an LLU line.
