Hi
I need help, I'm trying to find a no fixed contract broadband, my hubby works away 5 days a week a stays at his nans, he is bored out of his head and misses his online gaming. He is currently looking for work locally so we dont want a years contract. Also his nans line is already set up for broadband as he used to have it there before, but bt were charging 29.99 a month.
ANY IDEAS would be helpful I've tried searching but not having much luck!
Thanks
NL

AFAIK no-one does a no contract broadband. Best you'll get I think is a one month contract, which is the next best thing.
As you're not migrating from another ISP I think you'll find you will have to pay an activation fee of £45-60 depending on the supplier as they are charged this by BT to activate the line - even though it's had BB before I think you'll find it's still charged. Some ISP won't charge this fee if you stay with them 12 months but will, understandably, recoup it if you leave earlier than 12 months even though you are on a monthly contract.
Good sites to check out ISPs are:

As he's a gamer I think he will need a decent download limit so make sure that's taken into account when you decide.0 -
As said above, you'll have to pay up for the BTw activation charge if not taking out a 12 month service.
However, you can still get free activation on a relatively short 3 month contract with one of EntaNet's resellers, Freeola, and it starts from £9.99pm for those first 3 months. Although, depending how much he will be using online gaming, may want the next package up at £14.99pm.
After the 3 months are up, you could then migrate away to another ISP if you wanted, and that'd normally be a 1 month notice period then.0 -
http://www.virgin.net is a 30 day contract, but you are charged a £50 cancelation fee0

Are you migrating ?
If so AOL have a 1 month contract for migrations using you own equipment.0
