Nokia X6, £20pm with 100 minutes and unlimited text messages direct from the o2 website with £35 cashback via Quidco. 18 month contract and free handset.

I think I've done about as well as I can do but happy to be told I could have done better!

Wanted o2 as my other half is on them and narrowed my handset down to the X6 value wise......

i am on 3 and can get an X6 with 900 mins, unlimited texts and internet for £25 pm. They're prepared to give a HTC Desire instead, just negotiating at the moment (they want £28 pm).

I would have gone with 24 month plan. Save £5 a month so
£15pm x 24 = £360
£20pm x 18 = £360
6 months extra line rental for no more overall cost, but you might want to get to retentions earlier.

I've decided against the X6 that's coming tomorrow - lost nothing other than the Quidco cashback and the credit check.

How am I best returning the phone to 02? Shall I ask my other half not to accept the delivery?
