    We're looking at around 7-8k without a honeymoon don't think we would be able to afford one. No one is contributing my parents have bought property abroad so tied up in that and my OHs parents are skint anyway. So we're funding it ourselves, I just feel bad that you have to feed people that you don't really like because they are family.

    :rotfl: I'd feel worse if they came so I'm not inviting them! Luckily I live away for when the invites go out but I'm sure you'll hear the outrage :D

  • Im doing alot of the wedding stuff myself like the invites, table cloths, favours, table runners, flowers, food and cake to help keeps cost downs so i can spurge on a photo booth! Hopefully it all wont come to more than 2k, 2.5kmax

    so far its (not including my labour fees)
    church = £500
    venue = £180
    Dress = £240
    bridesmaidx3 = £144
    table center pieces x18 = £34
    Cotton Table clothsx18 = £30
    Table runnersx18 = £18
    invitesx150 = £40
    Favoursx100 = £32
    DJ = Free
    Cars = Free

    The biggest cost is going to be the rings and buffet, oh and the honeymoon. We're hoping to go to maldives but we are going to get a late deal (and save 2k) so I wont know where the honeymoon will be until a week before the wedding.

  • Our wedding is coming in at the higher end of the scale..

    Our parents are paying, and as we both have very large families, it's going to be a big wedding. There are certain areas where we've been more MSE and others not so much so. But it's the wedding that is perfect to us, and we're only doing it once.

    Our budget is £5k for wedding, and then whatever else we can save for the honeymoon. We are very lucky to be getting a lot of help from my parents.

    We are planning a small wedding - family only at ceremony (30), then another 50 friends at night. Having ceremony and reception at same venue so wont need cars as we will be staying the night before, making the invites ourselves, getting M&S cake and decorating myself, getting a ring made for me as my engagement ring is an unusual shape but being done locally and getting a good deal, hoping to get wedding dress in a sale, H2B is in the forces and will be wearing his No 1's so no need for suit hire, and venue is great value for money - 5* service at 3* prices!

    It's my mums siblings, so not quite as bad as you lol :rotfl:
  • At the begining, I have planed to have someone design my dress. But the tailor required me so high price. I gave up and bought mine at wholesale price $120.99 in a online store trustedeal.com. It is a big budget for me to save much for my wedding holiday. I love the dress.:rotfl:
