Ours is about £10,000 of our own money, about £3,000 contributed by the two sets of parents, then the honeymoon is £5900, but I'm reassured to see someone has ticked the more expensive box than me :D I'd have rather pay it off the morgtgage, but he wanted a big wedding, and I wanted a big honeymoon, so we compromised and had both!

Ours will probably be around £4,500-£5,000. We also didn't really set out with a specific budget but the 2 week holiday, wedding ceremony, flowers, reception etc is coming to just shy of £3000. There are plenty of little extras to pay for as well as outfits and the party when we get back so I think it should be about right. We'll just have to cut our coat according to our cloth when it comes to certain things!

Ours is £10k. It was orginally between £8-£10k but now we've actually put budgets next to stuff it is £10k. This includes everything wedding ceremony, breakfast, evening do, my maggie sottero dress :D and fabulous 2 week honeymoon to the Maldives.

The only people I've ever known with crazy wedding budgets were people who were not paying for it themselves, one of my work colleagues her wedding cost in excess of £22k and she went to Ireland for her honeymoon, her wedding venue was £3.5k just to hire before the rest. She wasn't bothered about how much her wedding was at all and doesn't even know how much most of the stuff cost.

I've already made some savings on my budget, we're £200 under on our wedding ceremony, breakfast, evening do and I've got a discount on my dress by being cheeky and we're hoping to shave a huge chunk off our honeymoon by paying with some Clubcard rewards. So you never know, we might end up doing it all for £8k in the end. :)

Mine is about 15-17k and were going to the maldives too but it is the most expensive holiday ever. I think we were far to eager in booking coz it cost us the ridicolous amount of 6.5K what was yours like queen????

we're aiming for the 10k bracket including honeymoon (although we haven't looked into that yet!)

nearly all of it will be paid by us, my parents gave us the deposit for the hotel and OH parents are saving money for us which we can use on what ever we want but i'd day 98% is coming out of our pockets.

the only thing with me is that i have a big family (dad is one of 14 and mum one of 7) so even excluding cousins we've got a fair few on the invitation list. we've been saving for a bit though so we've got a good bit of the money saved so we should have more than the 10k saved just in case we run over.

we've booked the venue and church, organised the photographer (£550 off actual price), car (£20 of actual price), flowergirls dress (£20 off actual price) and i've bought my wedding dress (£300 off actual price) so we've got a lot of the biggies out of the way and some savings too boot!

i'm only having one bridesmaid, flowers are going to be limited and am doing my best bargain hunting skills on most of the other things aswell :rotfl:

so if we're lucky it should all be done with in budget and not having to owe for anything after!

around £3k for us including all outfits and food and honeymoon.

we aren't having a big do, honeymoon will be approx £1k and we have spent about £300 each on suit/dress (ok ok my frock was more than that but my mum helped!)

it's second time round for me, and we have cut back a couple of times because we have had so many family nightmares. we have put our feet down and re-planned our day to suit us (not in a selfish way honest) and we are both really excited about the impending wedding! :j

I put £500 BUT my ring is costing £1600. Things that last are just more important to me and we are moving soon so don't have money to burn.

So on the DAY we are spending less than £500, probably less than £300 actually. Our day is a simple register office with our parents then we're having a picnic with all our friends :)
