just wondering will orange give me a pac code if the phone hasn't been used for over 6mths? it's on PAYG

thanks! i have phoned and they have given me a new mobile number on PAYG, Do you know if you have to be with them for a minimum period before requesting the pac code?

Don't really understand why you have accepted a new number when you wanted to port your number out of Orange! The only point of a PAC is to keep your number, enabling your to take it to another network, so why would you want to port out a brand new number?
