Indemnity Insurance - Satellite Dish

Hi folks! I'm currently in the process of selling my leasehold house and the buyers solicitors have raised concerns regarding the satellite dish. I hold my hands up that I didn't seek permission from the leasehold landlord 12 years ago when the dish was put up, and as such it's in breach of covenant. (I didn't realise at the time I needed it, but ignorance is no defence.) For info, nearly every house on the development now has a dish, some having two or three (who knows why!)

The buyers solicitors are insisting that I pay for indemnity insurance and are not accepting my proposal to remove the dish in order to rectify the breach.

I have two questions:

1) Are there any reasons why removing the dish would not be deemed a reasonable action to rectify the breach of covenant (and prevent the need for me to pay out for indemnity insurance)?

2) How much would such an indemnity policy cost? (I have searched on the net but can't seem to find any sort of guidance on how much pain my wallet would feel)

Thanks folks
