How long to wait?

I have bought a number of items from eBay.co.uk from USA, some items have arrived within a few days which surprised me but I am still waiting on 2 parcels which were paid for on May 3rd (shipped out same day according to seller) & May 7th (no contact from seller on this one). How long does it usually take for parcels to arrive from USA? How long should I allow with air strikes as well at the moment. Thanks x

I've sent items Worldwide and in the last month I am finding that still some items from the start of the Ash saga are delayed, items sent after this are still getting through in the normal time (7 days ish).

My RM business manager has told me that items posted where no delays occurred (ie after the cloud) are going as normal, with items posted before that, being filtered in.

I would certainly be hanging on a little while longer if I had bought from overseas. You have 45 days for your PP dispute, so time enough to ensure a refund.

I'm not worried about the items not arriving yet just wondering how long it usually takes for items to come in post from USA. Will see if they arrive this week then chase them with seller, thanks x

Just been told by one seller I have to wait upto 60 days, I find that a bit odd. I know post is taking longer but just wanted a rough timeline for these parcels to arrive. I think I'll wait around 3 weeks then see what happens, is that long enough or would you wait longer? Thanks x

60 days? I think your buyer is having a laugh. Wait three weeks and then put in a paypal chargeback for item not received. That gives the seller a further 10 days to get the itme to you before you get a refund.

60 days would take you outside the time frame for a paypal chargeback.

I have a similar thing, something I purchased from the US was posted on the 6th May, seller has told me to wait 60 days. They have 7 more days & then I will be opening an INR dispute.

60 days is what the USPS say if the item was sent ground as they can take up to 6 weeks that way, and when I say up to, you can bet you wont get it before, normally within the last few days of the 6 week deadline

One of the sellers has put a USPS tracking number into Paypal but when I click on link it says 'There is no record of this item' so is it a fake number they have put in? This is for the item bought & paid for on the 7th.

Could be, what does it start with and which site are you checking it on?

Any seller that uses surface mail is aksing for problems. As a buyer I would still be putting in a chargeback after 3 -4 weeks maximum rather than allow myself to run out of time for a claim.

As masterbrown says double check that you have put the code in the correct system and assuming you have I would put in a full paypal chargeback today. The seller would now worry me, a fake number rings alarm bells and I would be looking for a refund ASAP.

When I log in at Paypal next to the transaction it says 'SENT, TRACK' & the word TRACK is a link to USPS website where it shows the message above. The code showing starts LC, not sure where I can check if the number is correct.

P.S FIO The total amount was $22.25 + shipping for an item that can only be bought in USA.
