O2 Roaming - Web Data - Any O2 customers that might know!
Hey All!
My parents are currently Walking like an Egyptian. On O2's website it states it costs £6 per MB.
Does anyone know if this is a daily limit or if you only get charged per MB used?
(so if you used 500kb by the end of the day, you'd be charged £6, or if the data can be spread over a week (say 200kb over 5 days) and still be charged just £6.
TIA

it's just £6 per megabyte, linear, in units of (I believe) 1 kilobyte
thus 500k would be £3, 200k would come to £1.20
other networks have daft minimum daily charges, like £4 or £5 just for anything at all, but I don't think O2 have gone that way yet0 -
So far so good, anyone else confirm? (not that I don't believe you red! But my step dad will be royally p*ssed if I am wrong haha)0

o2 will also be able to put a limit of £40 for data usage on the account to prevent any shocks!0

It says on the website you have to set this up before though! From 1 March 2010 O2 Pay Monthly customers can set a monthly charge limit of £40 for data usage abroad. Once this limit is reached, the data service will be stopped. To set this charge limit call Customer Services.
Which I thought was pretty pointless unless you know about it ha.0 -

I did have problems getting it set as even the customer service people i called didn't know anything about it and instead tried to sell me a £50 data roaming bolt on. I have a feeling though they are fully aware of it but want your money.0
