Change of address on driving licence

One thing that hasn't been mentioned: is the licence an old or new style one? i.e. is it a photocard one issued after 1999?

If you're not doing the online application, allow about 20 working days. If you're sending in an old style licence, DVLA will reply to you with procedures for obtaining a new style licence. That separate process will take about the same time.

I did this a few months ago and had my new license within a week of returning my old one. HTH

They did it online thanks to king100 and have received it already.

I have used this forum for several thinks so i appreciate peoples help and experiences in matters however it is a waste of time people making silly comments and doesnt get anyone anywhere.

There is a section on the paper part of the driving license for address changes etc.And it costs....

Change of address doesnt cost anything.... It's a legal requirement. If you need to change your photo or change the whole licence from an old paper style to a new photocard then you have to pay. It was about £17 last time I looked, may have changed since though.
