I have a HTC Desire and for some reason the weather wont update and im not sure what the problem is.

I have clicked the tick for it to update automatically every hour but when i go back to check its still ticked it has unticked itself.

I have been using the phone on 3G but it also does not update when im using wi-fi.

Any advice please.

Its the weather on my Homepage.

My "current location" for my weather hasn't updated since I left the house this morning.

Don't know if the weather hasn't updated because it's been sunny all day :)

Mine is updating the temp automatically (just seen it change from 19 to 17), just not the location.

To be honest though, I just keep the weather widget on there for the funky animations.

There seems to be a general problem with the weather widget today. Mine is normally very reliable, but since late last night it's been very slow at updating. Maybe it can't cope with anything above 15 degrees. :D

There is another alternative to the default clock/weather widget in the "beautiful widgets" package. just install from market then remove the default one and put the new one in its place. However there is a cost.

I did this as many of the locations using the default clock/weather widget did not have a forecast. Beutiful Widgets solved my problem.

I also use the wifi switch and the silent switch widgets on my homepage from the same package. These I find very useful for quick toggling of silent mode and wifi.
